At this week's Warwickshire County Council Cabinet meeting Richard Dickson - LibDems in Kenilworth asked for reassurance that long delayed and over budget infrastructure projects, like the A46 Bridge To Nowhere, the K2L cycle route and the special educational facilities at St John's Primary School in Kenilworth will be accounted for in the 2026/27 Council Plan and Performance Management Framework.
This got no answer from Cabinet members.
Richard Dickson - LibDems in Kenilworth also asked for an explanation as to why there's been a delay in the Council administration bringing forward plans to spend the 5 year £66M Local Transport Grant. The Council passed a motion in July 2025 to bring forward plans by December 2025. Yet it's only on 25th February that the Council's Communities Overview & Scrutiny Committee will consider these plans.
This also got no answer from Cabinet members.
The people who elect councillors to serve them don’t ask for miracles. Just a little light in the hallway, a little honesty in the ledger, and a voice that doesn’t vanish when the meeting ends.
