Lib Dems in Kenilworth and Southam emerge as firewall to block a Conservative-Reform coalition at next General Election

A major new YouGov poll has revealed that the Liberal Democrat, Louis Adam, is the only candidate in Kenilworth and Southam who is positioned to stop Kemi Badenoch from handing the keys to No 10 to Nigel Farage.

A new nationwide poll shows that the Conservatives’ route to Downing Street relies heavily on working with Reform UK and that Kenilworth and Southam is set to be a decisive battleground between them and the Liberal Democrats.

According to the analysis reported by Sky News and The Times,  Kenilworth and Southam is balanced on a knife-edge. 

A margin of just 14% separates the Conservatives from the Liberal Democrats, putting Louis Adam within reach of winning the seat and denying Badenoch and Farage their route to power. 

The MRP result shows:

 Liberal Democrat: 21%%

Conservatives: 35%

Reform: 17% 

Labour: 14% 

Green: 10%

The data confirms that only Lib Dem candidate Louis Adam can beat Reform and the Conservatives in  Kenilworth and Southam with Labour and the Greens too far behind.  

With opposition to the Reform and the Tories split backing the Labour and Green candidates in  Kenilworth and Southam, only uniting behind the best local challenger Lib Dem Louis can keep Kemi and Nigel Farage out of the local area. 

Reflecting on the poll results, Louis Adam, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Kenilworth and Southam said:

“This poll confirms what local residents have been telling me on the doorstep: The Liberal Democrats are the only way in  Kenilworth and Southam of blocking the coalition of nightmares between the Conservatives and Reform UK.

“Kemi Badenoch’s only path to power runs through Nigel Farage, bringing Trump-style politics to our Government and on our doorsteps.  

“With Labour falling back locally and the Greens trailing in 4th, it’s clear the Lib Dems are the only party that beat the Conservatives and stop Reform. 

“Every vote for the Liberal Democrats in Kenilworth and Southam is a vote for a strong local champion who will protect our community from division.”
