Closing a village school isn't good news!
Reform are trying to turn the closure of a village school into a good news story.
In December, a Reform councillor told Full Council “No one’s saying the school’s being closed” and called the worry “fearmongering”. Four months later, Reform’s Cabinet closed it.
Now they say its future is “secured”. Their own report has no opening date, and the money won’t be decided until December.
SEND places are badly needed. Warwickshire needs hundreds more places. But Great Alne should have stayed a village school, with SEND places too.
Village schools serve local communities and families. Great Alne lost its school. Reform don’t get to call that good news.
